Coaching school leaders: I am a professional (Level 7 ILM) coach, currently working alongside a large number of school leaders across the south-west. My strength-based leadership coaching provides a thinking space which helps leaders to look longer term, something we need now more than ever. ‘Extreme listening’ (thanks Brené Brown) is my superpower, allowing clients to reflect deeply on their practice and context, while incisive questions help unlock issues and move purposefully forwards.
School improvement advice: schools have asked me to lead curriculum reviews; write SEFs & Improvement Plans; evaluate teaching & learning, develop Reading Programmes, co-design Character Education programmes; improve behaviour systems; advise on how to reduce exclusion; design strategy for safeguarding & SEND; help prepare for Ofsted.
Recent work: I worked closely with Greenshaw Learning Trust with school improvement planning, and am now a School Improvement Advisor for the Oxford Diocese Schools Trust, working closely with ten primary schools, and leading NPQSL and governor training.
